As much as we love the new 4th Gen Toyota Tacoma, our initial durability testing did reveal one weakness in the OE suspension. We discovered that the front upper shock mount and shock stem bushing may fail under hard use. So, we developed this Top Plate Reinforcement Kit to remedy this issue and prevent such damage. This kit supports and reinforces the factory upper shock mount. It will also capture and retain the shock stem bushing if a failure does occur. ICON recommends this upgrade on any 2024-2025 Tacoma that gets driven vigorously off-road using the OE front coilover shocks.

Strength and durability are improved by using a larger ball with 56% more bearing surface than our standard Delta Joint, along with improved lubrication sealing. But improved performance is at the heart of the Delta Joint PRO, with a full 90 degrees of articulation, from one extreme to the other. This represents a 14% improvement in range of motion, over the highly capable original Delta Joint, allowing for maximum bind-free suspension movement through the complete range of travel. The Delta Joint PRO is built to take the abuse, with a chromoly ball and shaft that has a bearing surface hardened to Rockwell C 55. The replaceable races are made of graphite-impregnated sintered metal, machined to the finest tolerance to provide a flawless, metal-to-metal bearing interface. We also redesigned the lubrication system, with lubricant channels that distribute grease more efficiently without extending past the bearing seal.

These rear coilovers feature unique ICON engineered progressive triple rate coil springs, allowing for softer spring rate at ride height that ramps up as the coil compresses for improved bottom out resistance. Their shaft up orientation requires the reservoir hose to be routed along the rear lower links so ICON offers hose bracket options for the OE or ICON tubular links while ICON billet links incorporate this bracketry into their design. ICON 2.5 Series front coilovers with CDEV and matching IIC module are required for installation but vehicle control will be actively balanced front to rear, resulting in the best overall driving experience for your Ford Bronco.
