The Problem

Standard wheel balancing only fixes weight distribution. It cannot fix a tire that is physically out-of-round or has developed uneven wear patterns like tire cupping, chopping, or feathering. This leads to severe vibrations and road roar that an alignment simply cannot stop.

The Solution

Tire Truing (Contouring) is the only way to fix cupped tires. We use specialized machinery to shave off high spots, rounding the tire back into a perfect circle. This is the mechanical fix to recover a choppy tire and restore a smooth, quiet ride.

Tire Restoration FAQs

What tire types can be trued?
We exclusively service All-Terrain (AT), Rugged-Terrain (RT), and Mud-Terrain (MT) tires. We do not service street or semi tires.
Why can't other shops balance my 35" or 37" tires?
Most shops only provide a standard road force balance. If your tires are out-of-round or have developed a flat spot from sitting, weight won't fix it. Tire truing is the only mechanical fix for 35 inch and 37 inch tires that won't balance.
Will my tires look shaved?
Expect small rubber whiskers or grooves initially. These smooth out within 50–100 miles, leaving a factory finish.
Can an alignment fix my vibration?
No. Alignment straightens the path, but it doesn't fix cupped tires. You must true choppy tires first to get a smooth surface.
Is this a while-you-wait service?
No. This is a drop-off service at our Hendersonville location to ensure our techs have the time needed for precision setup.
What if my tires are really bad?
We follow a Best Effort rule. We will significantly improve the tire, but if it is too far gone, we can only do so much.
Why does the best tire go on the driver's side?
We move the tire that took the least amount of weight to the Driver Front to keep road feedback as far from the driver as possible.
